Aleix Febas
Signs with Celta Vigo
Febas signed with Celta Vigo through June 2029, the club announced.
Analysis: Febas joins from Elche, where he established himself as one of the most reliable midfielders in La Liga and played a key role in the club's recent survival in the top flight under coach Eder Sarabia. The 30-year-old Catalan midfielder came through the Real Madrid academy before developing his career at Zaragoza, Albacete, Mallorca and Malaga before finding his best form at Elche from the 2023-24 season onward. His tactical intelligence, passing precision and ability to control the tempo of matches make him a natural fit for coach Claudio Giraldez's system, with Celta set to compete across three competitions next season.
Clears suspension
Febas is back from the one-game ban he picked up after receiving 10 yellow cards in the 2025/26 season.
Analysis: Febas has been an essential player for his club throughout the season, so he should return to a big role now that he's able to play. His inclusion in midfield could limit Grady Diangana and Martim Neto to bench roles going forward. While he can't be expected to stand out offensively, Febas is a reliable source of all-around production in most fixtures.
Will miss Getafe match
Febas will miss the next match against Getafe after picking up a yellow card in the 76th minute of Tuesday's match against Real Betis, reaching the accumulation limit.
Analysis: Febas is unavailable for Sunday's clash against Getafe due to suspension after reaching the yellow card accumulation limit. The midfielder is an undisputed starter for his side, so his absence could be felt, with Martim Neto expected to see increased minutes in his place.
